Risk Disclosure
Capital at risk. Trading — including automated and algorithmic trading — can result in the loss of some or all of the capital you expose to markets. Do not commit funds you cannot afford to lose.
Please read this Risk Disclosure carefully before purchasing a PaulieMarket Desk product seat, allocating capital, or relying on any dashboard, SIM view, or marketing content. By using PaulieMarket Desk you acknowledge that you understand and accept these risks. This document forms part of our Terms of Service.
1. No guarantee of performance
- Product names and descriptions that reference multiples (for example doubling, tripling, or quadrupling capital) or timeframes describe aspirational objectives or historical observations, not contractual guarantees.
- PaulieMarket Desk does not guarantee profits, recovery of losses, minimum returns, or any specific multiple within any period.
- Past performance — live, backtested, or simulated (SIM) — is not a reliable indicator of future results.
2. Market and strategy risk
- Markets can move quickly and unpredictably. Volatility, gaps, thin liquidity, and venue outages can cause rapid losses.
- Automated strategies may underperform or fail in regimes they were not designed for (trending vs ranging markets, news shocks, correlation breaks).
- Prediction-market, crypto-related, and other digital venues may involve additional operational, regulatory, and counterparty risks.
- Fees, spreads, slippage, and execution delays reduce net outcomes.
3. Technology and operational risk
- Bots depend on connectivity, cloud infrastructure, data feeds, APIs, and third-party venues. Outages, bugs, rate limits, or incorrect data can interrupt or degrade trading.
- We aim for high availability and monitoring, but uninterrupted 24/7 operation cannot be guaranteed.
- On-chain settlement and public ledgers introduce their own risks (network congestion, smart-contract or bridge failures where relevant, irreversible transactions).
4. Capital and funding risk
- Only risk capital you can afford to lose in full.
- Seat purchase fees are separate from trading capital. Paying for a seat does not protect trading capital from loss.
- If you fund or transfer assets in connection with a desk, you accept the custody, transfer, and market risks associated with those flows.
5. No investment advice
- Content on PaulieMarket Desk websites, apps, Discord, and dashboards is informational and operational — not personalised investment advice.
- You are solely responsible for your decisions to purchase seats, allocate capital, and continue or stop participation.
- Consider obtaining independent financial, legal, and tax advice.
6. Simulations and illustrations
- SIM modes, charts, and example figures may omit live friction, capacity limits, or rare events.
- Illustrative dashboards on marketing pages may use sample or historical data and should not be treated as your live account.
7. Regulatory and jurisdictional risk
- Rules affecting trading, payments, and digital assets vary by country and can change.
- You are responsible for complying with laws that apply to you. The Services may not be available or appropriate in every jurisdiction.
8. Payments
- Shop payments are processed by Revolut (or its Merchant affiliates). Payment failures, holds, or bank disputes can delay access.
- Seat fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law or as stated in our Terms of Service.
9. Acknowledgement
By creating an account, completing checkout, or using the Services, you confirm that:
- you are 18 or older;
- you have read this Risk Disclosure and the Terms of Service;
- you understand that you can lose capital; and
- you are not relying on any guarantee of profit or performance from PaulieMarket Desk.
