Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how PaulieMarket Desk (“PaulieMarket Desk”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data when you visit pauliemarket.com, use our shop, dashboard, mobile apps, APIs, or related services (together, the “Services”).
We process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Irish and EEA data-protection law. Where UK GDPR applies to you, we apply equivalent standards.
1. Who we are
PaulieMarket Desk operates an autonomous trading platform and related client tools. For privacy queries or data-subject requests, email hello@pauliemarket.com.
If you pay for a product seat, card and wallet payments are processed by Revolut (or its Merchant affiliates) as an independent payment service provider. Revolut acts as a separate controller or processor for payment data according to its own terms and privacy notice.
2. Data we collect
2.1 Account and identity
- Name, email address, password (hashed), and profile details you provide
- Account preferences and communication settings
2.2 Shop and payments
- Order history, product seats purchased, amounts, currency, VAT, and timestamps
- Payment status and merchant order references returned by Revolut
- We do not store full card numbers on our servers; card data is handled by Revolut’s checkout
2.3 Platform and trading activity
- Session and desk associations, bot/session identifiers, performance views, and capital figures shown in your dashboard
- On-chain transaction references that are public by nature of the blockchain
- Support messages and Discord or email correspondence you send us
2.4 Technical and usage data
- IP address, browser type, device information, approximate location derived from IP, pages visited, and timestamps
- Cookies or similar technologies used for session security, shop cart continuity, and basic site preferences (see Section 7)
3. Why we use your data (legal bases)
- Contract — to create and manage your account, fulfil product seat purchases, provide the dashboard and apps, and deliver support
- Legitimate interests — to secure the Services, prevent fraud and abuse, improve reliability, and understand product usage in aggregate
- Legal obligation — to keep tax, accounting, and anti-fraud records, and respond to lawful requests
- Consent — where required for optional cookies or marketing communications (you may withdraw at any time)
4. Sharing your data
We share personal data only as needed to operate the Services:
- Payment providers — Revolut Merchant for checkout, settlement, refunds required by law, chargebacks, and fraud screening
- Infrastructure providers — hosting, email delivery, error monitoring, and security vendors under appropriate contracts
- Professional advisers — accountants, auditors, or lawyers bound by confidentiality
- Authorities — where required by law or to protect rights, safety, and integrity of the platform
We do not sell your personal data.
5. International transfers
Where data is processed outside the EEA/UK, we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision, together with vendor due diligence.
6. Retention
We keep account and order records for as long as your account remains active and for a further period required for tax, accounting, dispute, and fraud-prevention purposes (typically up to seven years for financial records, unless a longer period is required by law). Support tickets and logs are retained only as long as reasonably necessary.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
We use essential cookies for authentication, security, and cart/session continuity. We may also store a lightweight site preference notice cookie. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may prevent login or checkout from working.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, or object to certain processing. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (in Ireland, the Data Protection Commission). To exercise rights, email hello@pauliemarket.com.
9. Security
We use industry-standard measures including encrypted transport (HTTPS), access controls, and hashed passwords. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; please use a strong unique password and protect your credentials.
10. Children
The Services are for adults aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
11. Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. Material changes may also be notified in-product or by email where appropriate.
